Understandably, most of the events for the 2020 California Wine Month celebration – held annually in September – have been moved online. There’s a list full of virtual tastings, cooking classes, pairing workshops, and even a kit you can order for your own backyard grape-stomping event.

However, if you aren’t charmed by the idea of swirling your Cabernet in front of a screen in your living room, a few wineries are still hosting in-person affairs to toast the season. Reservations and some planning are required, but getting tickets in advance is easy, and if you’ll let us, we’re happy to handle all the other logistics around transportation and timing. Read on for a variety of options that will keep your wine tasting in the Valley:

Raymond Vineyards

WINEMAKER FOR A DAY POP UP

You’ll learn the winemaker’s art while blending your own Napa Valley Bordeaux-style red. After crafting your wine, you’ll move to bottling – cork, foil, and dress it with your custom label and take it with you that day. You will also have the opportunity to order cases of your wine to share with friends and family.”

CALIFORNIA WINE MONTH TASTING FLIGHT

The tasting finishes with Generations, their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon. The name honors the five generations of family winemaking that is the heritage at Raymond Vineyards, with these wines being the best expressions of the vintage.
